Everything here happens on the property or at the lagoon edge: no transport, no booking ahead, no waiting. Just walk out of your room and pick something.
Quick Answer
On-site activities include a swimming pool, kayaking, yoga, massage, slackline, volleyball, and cockle hunting, all within the resort grounds. Nothing requires transport or advance booking: guests can walk out of their room and join in. Off-resort trips like dolphin watching and Wilpattu safaris are covered separately.
On the Property
Swimming pool, kayaking, SUP, yoga, massage, slackline, volleyball, board games, and cockle hunting — all free, on the property, with no booking needed. Half a day kiting, the other half at the resort: this is what most guests end up doing.
If one of you is on the water all morning, the other never has to wait around.

Casual games with other guests — a reliable way to fill a windy gap.

Set up in the garden — balance and focus, popular with all ages.

Cards, chess, backgammon — easy evenings after dinner.

Cook Sri Lankan rice and curry with the kitchen team — local spices, coconut, and the day's fresh catch.
Resort life
Most guests don't plan their days at Valampuri; they just happen. Pool after breakfast. Kayak before lunch. SUP when it's calm. Volleyball when someone suggests it. That's the pace here.

No. All on-site activities are available when you want them: kayaks, SUP boards, slackline, volleyball, and board games are ready to use. Yoga sessions and massage can be arranged on the day.
Tell us the day before. That is enough for dolphin watching, the lagoon tour and most day trips. Wilpattu safari is the exception in peak season (December to March), when the park limits how many jeeps go in each day: give us 2 to 3 days for that one.
Pool, slackline, volleyball, board games, and jetty access are included. Kayaking and SUP are available at a small charge. Yoga sessions and massage are booked separately.
Plenty. The pool, kayaking, SUP, yoga, massage, and volleyball keep non-kiters busy on the property. For off-resort adventures, we arrange dolphin watching, Wilpattu safari, lagoon tours, and more: see our full activities guide.
Yes. The pool, volleyball, slackline, board games, and cockle hunting are popular with children. Kayaking and SUP are suitable for older kids. The restaurant serves meals throughout the day.
Dolphin watching, Wilpattu safari, lagoon tours, kitesurfing, and island camping: all arranged from the resort.
